| 2 |  |  WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  | 
| 3 |  | learn of the death of Joseph A. "Joe" Falotico, who passed away  | 
| 4 |  | on March 18, 2015; and
 | 
| 5 |  |  WHEREAS, Joseph Falotico was born on March 3, 1934 to Sam  | 
| 6 |  | and Lena Falotico; he married Elizabeth Louise "Betty" Borzick  | 
| 7 |  | on September 4, 1954 and they settled in Gurnee in 1964; he  | 
| 8 |  | attended Coyne Electrical School in Chicago; and
 | 
| 9 |  |  WHEREAS, Joseph Falotico worked as a salesman for Drake  | 
| 10 |  | Electric and then Interstate Electric, retiring in 1999; he  | 
| 11 |  | went on to start and own 3 car washes in Lake Villa, Salem, and  | 
| 12 |  | Fox Lake; and
 | 
| 13 |  |  WHEREAS, Early in his life, Joseph Falotico was a member of  | 
| 14 |  | Immaculate Conception Church in Waukegan, where he was highly  | 
| 15 |  | involved in the Holy Name Society and Church Choir; he was also  | 
| 16 |  | a reader, Eucharistic minister, and CCD teacher; he spent many  | 
| 17 |  | volunteer hours at the VA hospital on Sundays, bringing  | 
| 18 |  | patients to Mass and doing the church readings at St. Therese  | 
| 19 |  | Chapel as well; he was a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of  | 
| 20 |  | Columbus Council #731 and #11112, and Past Faithful Navigator  | 
| 21 |  | 4th degree Bishop Quarter Assembly; he also cooked dinner for  | 
| 22 |  | the K of C Bingo volunteers; he was in charge of "Italian  |

| 1 |  | Night" at the K of C club in Waukegan; he was among the  | 
| 2 |  | original members for St. Paul the Apostle Church in Gurnee,  | 
| 3 |  | where he helped open the church for daily mass for over 15  | 
| 4 |  | years; he was also a Eucharistic Minister and Minister of Care;  | 
| 5 |  | he was "Santa" for many pre-schools, church functions, Model  | 
| 6 |  | "A" Christmas parties, and for close family and friends, and  | 
| 7 |  | most of all to his kids, grandchildren, and  | 
| 8 |  | great-grandchildren; and | 
| 9 |  |  WHEREAS, Joseph Falotico was a very active person, keeping  | 
| 10 |  | up with his large garden to which he always shared the bounty  | 
| 11 |  | of fruit and veggies from the trunk of his car at church; he  | 
| 12 |  | opened his trunk when he arrived at church and by the time Mass  | 
| 13 |  | was over his trunk was empty; he enjoyed keeping up with his  | 
| 14 |  | yard work and driving his Model "A" cars to shows and on short  | 
| 15 |  | trips; he hosted many picnics at his home throughout the years;  | 
| 16 |  | and
 | 
| 17 |  |  WHEREAS, Joseph Falotico was preceded in death by his  | 
| 18 |  | parents and his grandson, Derek Manuel; and
 | 
| 19 |  |  WHEREAS, Joseph Falotico is survived by his wife,  | 
| 20 |  | Elizabeth; his children, Danny (Renee) Falotico, Jacqueline  | 
| 21 |  | (Larry) Williams, Mary Kay Falotico, Joseph S. (Laura)  | 
| 22 |  | Falotico, Peter (Christina) Falotico, Diane (Mike) Kennedy,  | 
| 23 |  | Brenda (Dale) Stark, Therese (Gayle) Manuel, John (Holly)  |

| 11 |  | (Ron) Packman, and Mary (Bob) Hlidek; and many nieces, nephews,  | 
| 12 |  | and special friends; therefore, be it

| 13 |  |  RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL  | 
| 14 |  | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of  | 
| 15 |  | Joseph A. "Joe" Falotico, and extend our sincere condolences to  | 
| 16 |  | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it  | 
| 17 |  | further

| 18 |  |  RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be  | 
| 19 |  | presented to the family of Joseph Falotico as an expression of  | 
| 20 |  | our deepest sympathy.
