1		HOUSE RESOLUTION
2		WHEREAS, The Illinois House of Representatives is
3		delighted to congratulate Kathleen "Kathy" Viner-Gullo on the
4		occasion of her retirement after 32 years of dedicated service
5		to the citizens of Illinois; and
6		WHEREAS, Kathy Viner-Gullo began her career with the State
7		of Illinois in September of 1983 at the Department of
8		Rehabilitation Services, working there until 1987; and
9		WHEREAS, Kathy Viner-Gullo joined the Illinois State
10		Police on May 1, 1987, serving in various units such as the
11		Bureau of Personnel, the Illinois State Police Academy Unit,
12		and the D.A.R.E. Unit; and
13		WHEREAS, In 1993, Kathy Viner-Gullo accepted an
14		appointment in the Office of Governor Jim Edgar, serving in
15		that capacity until August of 1994; and
16		WHEREAS, Kathy Viner-Gullo returned to the Illinois State
17		Police on July 1, 1995 and was eventually promoted to the
18		position of Public Service Administrator on August 16, 1996;
19		and
20		WHEREAS, Kathy Viner-Gullo played an essential role in

1		numerous ceremonies and graduations with the State Police, from
2		preparing remarks for the Director to proofreading and quality
3		checking every formal document; and
4		WHEREAS, Kathy Viner-Gullo is known by her colleagues at
5		the State Police for her positive attitude, hard work, and
6		commitment to the Illinois State Police organization and the
7		people of the State of Illinois; and
8		WHEREAS, Kathy Viner-Gullo will enjoy her retirement years
9		with her mother, Mary; a sister, Johna; her husband, Troy; her
10		children, Katie, Megan, and Tom; her 6 grandchildren; and her
11		family dog, Jeb; therefore, be it
12		RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
13		NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
14		congratulate Kathleen Viner-Gullo on the occasion of her
15		retirement from the Illinois State Police and thank her for 32
16		years of dedicated service to the State of Illinois; and be it
17		further
18		RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19		presented to Kathy Viner-Gullo as a symbol of our thanks and
20		appreciation for her years of service to the State of Illinois.
