Senator Rodriguez moved the following:
1 Senate Amendment to Amendment (123332) (with title
2 amendment)

4 Between lines 7215 and 7216
5 insert:
6 Section 154. Section 1009.02, Florida Statutes, is created
7 to read:
8 1009.02 Eligibility for educational scholarships upon
9 completion of all terms of sentence.—Notwithstanding any other
10 provision of this chapter, upon the completion of all terms of a
11 sentence for a criminal conviction a person is eligible to be
12 awarded any scholarship, grant, or other aid for higher
13 education or vocational training under this chapter so long as
14 he or she meets all other requirements to be awarded the
15 scholarship, grant, or other aid.
16 Section 155. The creation of s. 1009.02 by this act shall
17 take effect on the same date that HB 7089 or similar legislation
18 takes effect, if such legislation is adopted in the same
19 legislative session or an extension thereof and becomes a law.

23 Delete lines 7909 - 7910
24 and insert:
25 Providing for dissolution of the task force; creating
26 s. 1009.02, F.S.; specifying eligibility for
27 educational scholarships, grants, or other aid for
28 specified persons upon completion of all terms of
29 sentence; providing an appropriation; providing
30 effective dates.
